Surat Diamond Association (SDA) Trust-run “Matrushree Ramuba Tejani and Matrushree Shantaba Vidiya Hospital” (Diamond Hospital) is a 150-bed charitable hospital, which has been operational for the past 12 years at Chikuwadi, Nana Varachha, Surat.

At our hospital, medical treatment is being provided at highly subsidized rates, on a no-profit, no-loss basis, to economically weaker and middle-class people without any discrimination of religion or caste. A large number of people from Surat and the surrounding areas are benefiting from these services.

All departments in the hospital are operating at highly concessional rates, with a daily OPD attendance of around 900 to 1,000 patients.

Various Schemes in the Hospital:

Beti Bachao Scheme

In case of the birth of a girl child, the normal delivery charge of rs.1,800/- is completely waived, meaning the delivery is conducted free of cost. So far, 15,219 girl children have been born in our hospital.

"Beti Bachao Beti Badhao" Scheme:

Apart from the first girl child, every subsequent girl child is provided with a bond worth rs.1,00,000/- by the hospital. Till date, bonds worth a total of rs.25 crores have been given to 2,500 girls.

Free Cataract Surgery:

Around 35 to 40 cataract surgeries are performed free of cost every day.

Free Eye Surgeries (Retina and Squint):

These surgeries are conducted free of cost.

Free NICU Treatment for Newborns:

The hospital provides completely free treatment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) under the PMJAY scheme. With 30 beds and modern facilities, it is one of the largest NICU facilities in Surat.

Dialysis treatment is provided completely free of cost under the PMJAY scheme.

Approximately 55–60 patients undergo dialysis daily.

Kidney stone and prostate surgeries are provided completely free of cost under the PMJAY scheme.

Dental denture treatment is provided completely free of cost.

So far, a total of 3,700 patients have been provided free dental dentures.

Laboratory tests are available at a concessional rate of 50–60%.

The medical store is operating with a 20% concession.
